India exported USD 323 billion worth merchandise goods in 2019, the major export destinations being USA, UAE, China, Hong Kong and Singapore. Exports to USA have grown significantly between 2010 and 2019. Exports of products such as machinery and mechanical appliances, organic chemicals, vehicles and parts, pharmaceutical products, and electrical machinery, equipment and parts have led growth in exports between 2010 and 2019.

India imported USD 479 billion worth merchandise products in 2019, the major import sources being China, USA, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Iraq. Imports from China have grown significantly between 2010 and 2019. Imports of mineral fuels and oils, electrical machinery, equipment and parts, machinery and mechanical appliances, organic chemicals, plastics and articles, animal or vegetable fats and oils, and optical, photographic and medical apparatus and parts have led growth in imports between 2010 and 2019.
